Our Mission
The mission of EducateNWA is to provide quality educational opportunities from a historic Christian worldview to homeschoolers in NW Arkansas.

Our Story
In the spring of 2018, local, home school mom of five and pastor’s wife, Crystal Carr, wanted some affordable, low-commitment sports options for her kids. Leagues have their place, but what about a basic, low-key, low-cost, fun introduction to a variety of sports?

She put some feelers out on Facebook and soon a group of about ten moms became a soundboard for ideas. Which sports should we do? How often should we meet? What equipment should we require?

From there, Crystal used her skills at communication and organization to begin sports in the fall of 2018. At first, the offerings were free, but it soon became apparent that some money needed to change hands in order to purchase supplies and rent fields, etc.

During our first event, it became apparent that NW Arkansas could benefit from a localized hub of information to get the word into the community regarding homeschooling groups and opportunities. Crystal put together a resource website, first called EducoNWA ("to educate" in Latin), then later renamed EducateNWA.

In the fall of 2019, a small group of committed Christian parents gathered as the board of directors and established Roadrunners Homeschooling’s By-laws and Mission. We created a non-profit that is both educational and religious in nature, so we could eventually expand into other home school activities, if we chose.

In the fall of 2023, we added a Stoa Speech & Debate Club, Flame for Truth. In the summer of 2024, we changed our name to EducateNWA, with Roadrunners Homeschooling Sports and Flame of Truth operating within our organization.

We look forward to seeing how the Lord will continue to bless and grow our organization for His glory.
